The York New Salem Lions Club has a variety of sickroom equipment which is loaned free to our local Community

population.

This includes: hospital beds,wheel chairs, potty chairs,cruches, walkers etc.

This service to our local community is certainly welcomed by all who have needed equipment of this type, but is an especially valuable service to those who would find "it" financially "difficult" to afford rental or purchase of this equipment during their time of need.

HOLIDAY FOOD BASKETS: The York New Salem Lions Club recognizes there are individuals who need cheering up and our special holiday food baskets meets this need. Our lions distrubute the baskets and they share the love and friendship while showing our neighbors that we care.

CAMP SPONSORSHIP: There are some who can not enjoy life to the fullest extent except in a special setting. The York New Salem Lions Club is pleased to dedicate camps for fun and renewal in an atmosphere conducive to their needs.

SCHOLARSHIPS: We are able to award (two) scholarships each year in the amount of $1500.00 each to worthy students in the community. After selecting the winners, they and their parents are invited to attend our May meeting to present the scholarships. We believe that investment in our lives of young people will enhance our community in the years to come.
BECON LODGE Camp for the BLIND: A camp built just for the blind in the north west part of pennsylvania was helped funding from the state each year, as well as the Lion Clubs, but all funding has stopped from the state as of 2011. Now all Lions Clubs will be helping to fund this camp. The camp gives HOPE and FUN to those that otherwise could not have a place to go for FUN or RECREATION at no cost to the family for 1 week out of the summer.

Besides our service to others we want you to know how YOU can benefit from becoming a member of the York New Salem Lions.

We meet the second and fourth wednesday of each month, as a dinner meeting at the Borough building. Not only is the food great, but the fun and fellowship enhances the evening for everyone.

We welcome you to attend our meetings and urge you to become a member. Become a "WE SERVE" Lion. It will open a new vista of fellowship, friendship, and satisfaction of helping others.
